Digital Radio Integration Engineer

The qualified candidate will provide technical support for the development of HD Radio™ products to Automotive OEM’s and their Tier-1 manufacturers

Job duties include:

  • Communicate technical requirements for digital radio product design to infotainment engineering groups at OEM and tier-1 manufacturers
  • Manage technical program schedule and track development issues
  • Respond to technical questions in a timely manner
  • Maintain a contact list of customer personnel supporting the developmen
  • Identify HD Radio features implemented in each receiver, and when new features will be added
  • Understand customer radio requirements and clearly communicate requirements internally
  • Identify digital radio decoder IC used in each program development and establish relationship with IC account/technical personnel
  • Coordinate product development requirements and questions with HD Radio development community
  • Document application notes and implementation guidelines
  • Coordinate lab and field testing for OEM products
  • Advise automotive community on product integration into the vehicle
  • Participate in field evaluation rides
  • Travel; 4-6 weeks Domestic & International

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Degree in electrical engineering or computer science field
  • Fluency in English; German, Japanese, or Korean a plus
  • 5 -7 years’ experience with infotainment product design and development
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience with testing and automotive integration procedures
  • Knowledge of digital communications or digital radio applications
  • Experience providing technical support or technical consultation is a plus

RF design experience or HMI software experience is a plus.
