From Jampro: Jampro Antennas Selected For Vietnam's First HD-Radio Test
Hanoi (April 5, 2007) -- Jampro Antennas, Inc., of Sacramento announced today that the company has delivered a Jampro HD-FM radio antenna to Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) as part of the first test of high definition radio broadcasting in the country. The demonstrations, organized by Jampro and the Company’s local partners to assist VOV’s efforts to adopt digital technologies, are to take place in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Min City.
VOV is owned by the Vietnamese government through their Radio and Television Broadcast Development Company (BDC) and is a long-time Jampro customer. Many Jampro antenna systems currently in place in Vietnam are already I.B.O.C. HD Radio compatible and only require Jampro digital injectors to meet HD radio technical requirements. Jampro antennas have been found to be particularly well suited to operate in the hot, humid tropical climate of Vietnam. The Company’s digital injectors also work with most other brand antennas. VOV offers diverse, high-quality programming over six channels, repeated on AM and FM, and shortwave bands throughout Vietnam that reach over 90% of the country. The overseas channels of Voice of Vietnam, VOV5 and VOV6 broadcast in 12 languages to Vietnamese nationals residing overseas and to foreigners around the world.
