MEDIA ALERT: Attention D.C. Sports Fans — First Ever HD Radio™ Quadcast Channel Delivers Sports Talk Radio From Four Major Northeast Cities

Using HD Radio Technology, CBS Radio’s WJFK-FM, 106.7 The Fan Now Airing NY’s WFAN, Philly’s WIP & Baltimore’s WJZ-FM

What:

Washington, DC-based sports fans listening to WJFK The Fan now have the option of tuning into sports radio programming from New York, Philly and Baltimore teams, via HD Radio HD2/HD3/HD4 channels. Listeners will now have access to DC, New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore play-by-play and sports talk coverage of baseball, football, basketball, hockey and other sports programming.

For the first time ever, a radio station will be broadcasting four HD channels. Called “The FAN Sports Network,” listeners can now hear crystal-clear digital programming of Northeast sports teams. The main digital channel, 106.7 WJFK-FM, will air local sports coverage in D.C., with WJZ-FM, Baltimore playing on 106.7-HD2, WFAN, NY on 106.7-HD3, and WIP, Philadelphia on 106.7-HD4.

Using an HD Radio enabled receiver, listeners who tune to 106.7 The Fan will receive Washington, DC coverage. By tuning up the radio dial to either 106.7-HD2, 106.7-HD3, or 106.7-HD4, listeners will receive WJZ-FM Baltimore, WFAN New York, and WIP, Philadelphia, respectively.
