Kiryung Electronics enters HD Radio Module Business

Hong Kong Electronics Fair – April 13, 2010 – iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer of digital HD Radio Technology for AM and FM audio and data broadcasting, announced today that Kiryung Electronics, Inc. based out of Seoul, Korea will enter the HD Radio module business supporting Aftermarket Car, Home and Portable Products.

The first commercially available module that is already certified and in production is the KSM-2261SE module. The KSM-2261SE module is the smallest module solution available in the market targeting portable products. The KSM-2261SE module follows the pin out, hardware interface, and physical outline of iBiquity’s 2261 reference design. It is a 6-layer board that includes Samsung Electro-Mechanics’ SEMHDR100A/C200 chipset and all of its external components such as Flash memory, SDRAM, crystal oscillator, and other passive components. It is a complete HD Radio receiver in a small package measuring 19.05 x 31.75 x 2.93 (mm).
